If This Then That, more commonly known as IFTTT, is a powerful internet tool that can help make a lot of things easier for you. As their slogan suggests, you’re quite literally putting the internet to work for you!
How it works
Once you’ve signed up, you can begin to discover the world of possibilities it presents. Using ‘recipes’ of triggers and actions, you can get the site to do almost anything for you.
If, for example, every time a file is uploaded to one of your Dropbox folders, you want a notification to come through on your iPhone, you can create a recipe to that effect.
You can also tell it to save screenshots taken on your iPhone to a separate photo album, send an email to specific people when you enter or exit a location, upload new photos you take to Dropbox automatically…the possibilities are pretty much endless!
This is a fantastic tool that can help you stay on top of things while you study and after you graduate too.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to spend the rest of my day exploring all the different things this website can do for me!
